Simon Kjaer is still being linked with a move to Roma even though his agent has denied links with the Italians.
Reports over the weekend suggested that a deal for the Wolfsburg defender was done and such whispers are getting louder.
According to speculation on Monday morning, the Dane has agreed a five-year contract with the Olimpico side worth €1.5m a season.
Roma are looking for a centre-back after Philippe Mexes left La Magica in the summer for Milan on a free transfer.
Mikkel Beck, the former Palermo player's representative, yesterday dismissed contact with the Serie A side though.
"I read the stories, but have had no concrete evidence of the links," Beck told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Nobody from Wolfsburg has talked to me about an agreement with Roma. So far these are only rumours.
"All I can say is that he is a Wolfsburg player and continues to focus on the Bundesliga. I have no appointments lined up with the club or with Roma."
