Giampiero Pinzi feels that his Udinese side didn't deserve to be beaten 1-0 by Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The London club will take a first leg advantage to Udine next week thanks to a fourth-minute goal from Theo Walcott.
"We deserved to draw," stated the Italian midfielder to Sky Sport Italia. "Unfortunately we were not able to score a goal which was important for us.
"Our display, however, will give us hope for the return leg."
Things looked bad for the Italian club after conceding early, but the Bianconeri reacted well to the setback.
"That Arsenal goal could have cut off our legs, but we reacted well by making sacrifices," added Pinzi.
"We had nothing to lose, we played without fear and responded to each blow with a blow of our own. That's why we could have got a positive result."
The two teams will meet again at the Stadio Friuli on 24 August. The winners will qualify for the Champions League, while the losers will go into the Europa League.
