Roma are still in the race to sign Pablo Daniel Osvaldo despite the interference of Atletico Madrid.
The Espanyol striker is liked by Giallorossi boss Luis Enrique and he is being targeted as a replacement for Mirko Vucinic.
The latter left Roma for Juventus this summer in a €15m deal.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the capital outfit are ready to offer €13m to the Spanish club for the forward.
That fee could rise by a further €3m depending on the activation of bonus clauses.
Osvaldo, born in Argentina, is actually a former Italian Under-21 international who has played in the peninsula before.
The striker, 25, had spells at Atalanta, Lecce, Fiorentina and Bologna before his January 2010 move to La Liga.
