As reports of a deal with Pablo Daniel Osvaldo intensify, Roma have put Marco Borriello on the market.
According to sources in the Capital this afternoon, Borriello was told after training that he was no longer required at the club.
The news is not particularly surprising, as he only played the final 15 minutes of the Europa League defeat to Slovan Bratislava this week.
Borriello will make way for former Italian Under-21 international Osvaldo, who is set to join from Espanyol.
Roma took him on loan from Milan last summer with the mandatory option to buy for €10m.
Getting back that kind of money will be extremely tricky, especially as he is now cup-tied.
There have been reports of a return to San Siro for the striker who never quite settled with the Rossoneri.
