Ricky Alvarez is settling in well at Inter and insists “with each passing day I become happier to be here.”
The Argentine had a deal in place with Arsenal, but changed his mind when the Nerazzurri made an offer, as he had supported this club in his childhood.
“With each passing day I become happier to be here at such an important club as Inter. I received such a wonderful welcome from everyone,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“My teammates are helping me a great deal, including with advice on how to adapt to Italian football. Obviously it's easier to speak to the other Argentines in the squad, but overall it is a very united group and I'm proud to be a part of it.”
Inter won the Trofeo TIM mini-tournament with victories over Juventus and Milan at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari this week.
“We already knew they were tough, but in Serie A every match is like a Final, not just the ones against the big clubs,” continued Alvarez.
“Can we win the Scudetto? I hope, I believe and we'll do everything to make that happen.”
