Palermo chief Maurizio Zamparini has threatened to quit after the side was jeered by their own fans at the weekend.
The Stadio Barbera crowd heckled the Rosanero after they were beaten 3-2 by Fenerbahce in a friendly on Sunday.
"They can't whistle a side who played well against a team of international stature," the President stated.
"Perhaps, after 10 years, I'm starting to stink in this city
"For this reason I will take some time to reflect on things and I will, in all probability, start looking for my successor."
Palermo sold star man Javier Pastore to Paris Saint-Germain for €42m recently.
Sporting director Sean Sogliano claims that Palermo will make three more signings before the transfer window closes.
