Kevin Prince Boateng has admitted that he'd like to be fielded as a trequartista for Milan this season.
The player was used in a variety of midfield positions last term, but he's made it clear that he has a preference.
"I want to be used behind the strikers," the Ghanaian told Sky Sport Italia. "That is my preferred role in the team.
"Coach Massimiliano Allegri knows that too, but I will adapt to whatever is necessary. He'll decide what to do with me."
Boateng was a sensation at San Siro in 2010-11 and a major reason behind the Rossoneri's Scudetto success.
"Not a lot was expected from me in the last campaign," he admits. "However, I'll have to confirm myself and improve as I'll now have the spotlight on me.
"My personal goal for the season is to get into double figures with regards to the number of goals I score."
Meanwhile, the player has welcomed Alberto Aquilani and blocked a possible exit for Antonio Cassano.
"Aquilani is an excellent player and he'll give us a helping hand in midfield," he noted. "Cassano has had a good pre-season and I hope that he can stay with us."
