Coach Francesco Guidolin and star striker Antonio Di Natale admit that the Europa League draw has not been kind to Udinese.
Just days after being knocked out of the Champions League by Arsenal, the Bianconeri have now been placed in a group with Atletico Madrid, Rennes and Sion.
"It's not an easy group," boss Guidolin commented. "Atletico Madrid, for example, are an opponent of great quality.
"We do want to do well in the competition though and we'll do all that we can in order to qualify for the next round."
Di Natale, who scored and missed a penalty in the 2-1 loss to the Gunners, also fears the Liga giants.
"We've not been lucky," said the World Cup player. "We've been paired with some tough opponents.
"Atletico are one of the strongest teams in Spain, Rennes have a good side and we shouldn't underestimate Sion."
