Napoli presented Goran Pandev to the fans and enjoyed a 3-1 friendly win over Palermo at the San Paolo.
The game was organised to give supporters a show after the opening weekend of Serie A was called off due to the players' strike.
It also acted as a chance for the new squad to be presented to the fans, including ex-Inter striker Pandev, who arrived on loan.
The San Paolo was almost sold out for the friendly and Marek Hamsik got them cheering after 19 minutes with the opening goal from Andrea Dossena's assist.
Christian Maggio doubled their lead with a spectacular overhead kick before Giulio Migliaccio got Palermo back into it by nodding in a corner.
Maggio secured the 3-1 victory in the second half with a right-foot finish, though the Sicilians gave new buy Matias Aguirregaray his debut.
