Milan have confirmed that Mathieu Flamini could be out of action for as long as six months following surgery.
The Frenchman has gone under the knife after suffering knee ligament damage in the Trofeo Berlusconi match against Juventus.
The Italian club released a brief statement on their website today which noted that the player, who had the procedure done in Lyon, is expected to be sidelined for five or six months.
