Palermo have sacked Coach Stefano Pioli and handed the reins to youth team boss Devis Mangia.
There were already strong rumours over the past few days that Pioli would be axed after their Europa League exit in the preliminary rounds.
Pioli was given his marching orders this evening with an official notice on the club website. Most of his staff are also axed, save only for goalkeeping trainer Graziani Vinti.
Youth team boss Mangia has been promoted to the main bench, though it's not clear if this is a short-term solution or a genuine contract offer.
It is possible director of sport Sogliano will also leave Palermo, as he was reported to have had a blazing row with President Maurizio Zamparini today.
Sogliano should've been negotiating on transfer deadline day, but instead his assistant was spotted talking to agents.
Zamparini declared he will hold a Press conference on Thursday at 12.00 UK time to present the new signings.
