Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on the progress of Palermo starlet Josip Ilicic, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Slovenia international midfielder has been an absolute revelation since his arrival from Maribor towards the end of the transfer window.
Ilicic has scored six goals in his first 13 appearances for Palermo and is generating a great deal of interest among Europe's big clubs.
La Gazzetta understands Bayern's scouts have already watched the 22-year-old this season, prompting Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini into action.
Reports suggest he has brought forward talks to discuss an improvement in the terms of Ilicic's contract at the Renzo Barbera.
Zamparini apparently would like to include a minimum fee release clause in the player's new deal in order to protect his value.
