The agent of Christian Maggio has revealed that his client is keen to sign a new contract at Napoli.
An extension for the player has been rumoured for months, but the wing-back, 29, has yet to put pen to paper.
"I do hope that the club soon arrange a meeting for us to define his future," Massimo Briaschi told Radio CRC.
"Maggio is contracted to Napoli until June 2013, so for now he'll remain with the outfit until that date.
"Maggio is liked by a number of clubs because there are few players with his characteristics in Italy right now.
"However, we've never spoken to other clubs because Napoli have always considered Maggio as too important a player to sell."
Maggio, currently on international duty with Italy, joined the Stadio San Paolo outfit in June 2008 after two seasons at Sampdoria.
