Tottenham's Sandro says he'd like to play in Italy at some stage in the future, but he's denied contact with Roma over the summer.
The Brazilian was paired with the Giallorossi revolution in the capital, even if he's insisted no official bid was made.
"Roma were not the only side interested in me, there were others too," the 22-year-old told Radio Mana Sport 24.
"The problem was that no offer arrived.
"Nevertheless, I'm happy that a big club like Roma were keen, especially as they play in an important championship.
"I'd certainly like to play in Italy at some point in the future. It would be another forward step in my career."
Spurs signed Sandro, a defensive midfielder, in 2010 from Internacional.
"I'm convinced that we'll have a good season at Tottenham," the player continued. "It's a great club, with great players.
"I believe that we can finish in the top three or four this term."
