Dejan Stankovic has looked to dispel fears over his health, after suffering an injury scare on international duty with Serbia.
The 32-year-old celebrated his 100th cap with Serbia in their Group C qualifying win over Faroe Islands, but his appearance was marred by a bang to the head.
Inter's midfielder was withdrawn at half-time and rushed to hospital, but he explained to FcInterNews.it that it was just a precaution: "I had a strong blow to the head, the pain was there and I wanted to go to hospital.
"Everything went ok and now I'm fine. I have to thank the medical staff that were uick to look after me.
"I will remember the game only for the three important points, and the spectacle before the game with the fans. Now we must beat Italy, it is crucial."
La Gazzetta dello Sport believe Stankovic will be fit enough to play some part in Inter's game against Palermo on Sunday night.
