Antonio Conte says Juventus' summer signings were taught a key lesson at the opening ceremony of their new stadium the importance of the club.
The Old Lady's revamped arena was unveiled to the world last night during a spectacular evening which ended with a 1-1 draw against Notts County.
"Today the new arrivals have understood what Juve's history means," the tactician and former club captain noted.
"We want to return to being competitive and the fans this evening have shown us that they want it as much as us.
"It has been an evening full of great emotions and now these feelings need to be focused on the team."
Juve took the lead last night when Luca Toni slotted the ball home after Fabio Quagliarella had his penalty saved. County equalised late on thanks to Lee Hughes.
The focus at Vinovo will now be switched to Sunday's opening Serie A game of the season against Parma.
"I'm optimistic," Conte said in the knowledge that Parma have beaten Juve in their last three League meetings.
"We'll face an important game against a team who have probably won too many times against Juve, now it's time to reverse the trend.
"I've just a few hours to assess everyone's condition and assemble the best side possible."
