Devis Mangia is hoping to prove his coaching credentials when his Palermo side entertain Inter on Sunday.
Mangia has been put in temporary charge of the team after Rosanero chief Maurizio Zamparini axed Stefano Pioli in August.
"I'll look to beat Inter in a bid to convince Zamparini of my ability," Mangia told the Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of Sunday's clash.
Mangia, 38, was promoted to the Primavera bench after his work with the Palermo youth team.
"I have to admit that Nerazzurro is my favourite colour," continued the tactician. "In my family, everyone supported Milan or Juventus, so I opted for Inter.
"Beating Inter would be great because it means we would have won and won against one of the best sides in Serie A."
