Gigi Buffon has conceded that he is not sure what Juventus will be able to compete for this season.
The Turin giants have had another facelift this summer with a new Coach, new players and a new stadium for 2011-12.
"I have to be honest, a lot of new players have arrived, some very late in the market, and even we don't know our real potential yet," he told Tutto Juve.
"We'll have to wait for a few weeks to see what path we can realistically take in the season ahead."
Buffon appeared in last night's 1-1 draw with Notts County, a game which marked the opening of the club's new arena.
"Playing with all fans being so close is really exciting. I hope that this novelty can help us in doing even better.
"This evening has made all new signings understand what Juventus means, and for the old players this concept has been refreshed.
"If things go well then the crowd can certainly help us along, especially as they are so close to the pitch.
"You can really feel them, especially for someone like me who has a static role. You are aware of their presence and I hope that will be able to stimulate us."
The game also gave Juventus fans the chance to see the ability of new signing Eljero Elia after his arrival from Hamburg.
"You can't judge Elia just on tonight, it would be superficial if someone said he is a phenomenon or not," the 'keeper added.
"He's certainly a Dutch international, so it's not as if he was the last choice."
