Carlo Ancelotti tips Milan to retain their Scudetto and reveals what he'll be doing while he waits “for a call from the Premier League.”
The former Chelsea and Rossoneri manager is now working as a television pundit for Sky Sport Italia after his dismissal from Stamford Bridge.
“It's only right to have a break after 13 years of working continuously,” he told Tuttosport newspaper.
“This will also give me an opportunity to get up to date and study the various different Leagues. If I was to return to work, I'd prefer to wait for a call from the Premier League. In the meantime I want to enjoy this new experience as a pundit.”
Ancelotti started by casting his eye over the campaign ahead and tips his former club to take the title.
“I think Milan are still the favourites for the Scudetto. When you win, it brings a special enthusiasm to the locker room.
“I'd say Milan are a step above the rest, who in this order are Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Lazio and Inter.”
Juventus inaugurated their new stadium this week, the first club-owned arena in Serie A.
“It is a masterpiece and I'd love it to act as an example for other clubs. Being on the bench surrounded by your fans is a wonderful thing and ought to be the norm.”
Ancelotti had also been one of the main contenders for the Roma bench before it was handed to Luis Enrique, who has been having problems with Francesco Totti.
“Francesco remains the undisputed symbol of Roma.”
