Palermo Coach Devis Mangia hailed his side's belief as they beat Inter in a seven-goal thriller. “We never gave up.”
The tactician was making his Serie A debut, having been promoted from the youth team only 10 days ago to replace the sacked Stefano Pioli.
“We never gave up,” he grinned after fighting back twice in a 4-3 victory.
“Has President Maurizio Zamparini called me yet? I haven't turned my phone on... The important thing is I think I'm going to have another game in charge.
“This was a difficult match, but next week's against Atalanta will be even tougher. Tactically we did very well in some moments, less so in others, but always worked very hard to make up for it.
“I hope this attitude can continue with us from now on. I am happy, as we sent out a signal and have to stick with it.”
