Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has concerns about facing Napoli in the Champions League.
The former Inter Coach takes on the Stadio San Paolo outfit this Wednesday as Europe's premier club competition kicks off this week.
"It's always difficult for me to play against an Italian team," the former Italian international commented.
"Napoli are a good side with fantastic supporters. The best moment for them was when Diego Maradona played and they were in the European Cup."
City's group is clearly the most competitive in the tournament given the presence of Bayern Munich and Villarreal too.
"The group is very strong," added Mancio. "You can win the section or finish in fourth position .
"It's an incredible competition. I played with Sampdoria in it for the first time in 1991 and we reached the Final.
"Many teams played in the European Cup for the first time, like Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa, and won it. It's a crazy tournament."
The former Inter tactician also revealed that having an expensive squad, like his, is no guarantee of success.
"It's a difficult competition. You can have a top team like Manchester United last season and Inter for many years and you don't always win," added the Ancona-born Coach.
"It's important to get into the second stage and after that you can talk about the Champions League."
Manchester City have started their League campaign in majestic form, topping the table with maximum points from four games.
