New signing Miralem Pjanic has revealed that he wasn't originally convinced by the Roma project until he spoke with boss Luis Enrique.
"I wasn't sure at the start," the midfielder noted. "I didn't want to leave Lyon, but Luis Enrique's desire to get me really influenced my decision.
"I did think that I would remain in France, but Lyon and Roma agreed terms and I then opted to marry the Giallorossi."
The 21-year-old, signed at a cost of around €11m, made his League debut for the Italian club on Sunday in their shock 2-1 loss to Cagliari.
"In all honesty, I thought we deserved to win," added the Bosnia international. "However, I don't think that defeat changes our targets for the season. We're sure that we'll recover.
"Speaking personally, I'm happy with how I have started my career here. The only problem right now is the language, but I'll get over that just as I did in France."
