Ezequiel Lavezzi could well recover in time to face Milan this evening, as Napoli plan a last-minute fitness test.
‘Pocho' limped off during Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Manchester City due to a heavily-bruised right ankle.
He was initially ruled out of tonight's Serie A showdown at the Stadio San Paolo, but the latest reports suggest he could make a lightning recovery.
“I will only play Lavezzi if he is 100 per cent fit,” insisted Coach Walter Mazzarri during Saturday's Press conference.
If the medical staff do not give the all-clear, then the most likely option to replace Lavezzi is Blerim Dzemaili in the trident with Marek Hamsik and Edinson Cavani.
Another alternative is the more attack-minded Goran Pandev, while Giuseppe Mascara and Mario Alberto Santana are also ready to step in.
Juan Zuniga is a different approach altogether, as he would help protect the midfield more.
