Edy Reja has confirmed in a news conference on Tuesday afternoon that he intends to continue as Lazio Coach for this season.
Reja clarified his situation, and the events that unfolded on Monday that intially saw reports indicate he was on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico, before President Claudio Lotito talked him into staying.
"I had a meeting with the squad and the President. After some clarifications, we have decided to continue my adventure at Lazio.
"The discomfort is not in working here. The picture is good in Rome, it is just the frame that is rotten.
"I must not only win, I must win big, and this is can not be done."
Reja will now prepare for Lazio's trip on Wednesday night to face Cesena, before a home match with Palermo on Sunday presents the next opportunity for his team to play in front of the Aquile support.
