Attilio Tesser described his Novara side's 3-1 win over Inter as the 'perfect evening' and hinted at how he beat the Nerazzurri.
The former Cagliari and Ascoli Coach, in his third spell in Serie A, has led Novara to their first Serie A win in 55 years, and their first over Inter since 1940.
"It was the perfect evening, with the setting of large enthusiastic audience - it could not get better than that.
"Then we played a great game against a great team like Inter, and have won the match to collect three points. It was the essence of football.
Tesser has offered support to Gian Piero Gasperini, who finds his future the subject of intense speculation. However, Tuttosport reports of the the 53-year-old's belief that last night's result was reflective of the contrasting performances.
"Until tonight, I felt he got less than he deserved.
"This evening we were very good to immediately press them, put them under pressure. We gave a little away, pretty much just on a couple of occasions. It is a very good team."
