Massimo Moratti has virtually confirmed Gian Piero Gasperini will be sacked on Wednseday after declaring his situation as 'difficult'.
The Inter President was stopped outside his Saras offices this morning and again asked if Gasperini would remain in charge of the club after Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat at Novara.
"I do not think so. We'll decide what to do today but he seems to be in a very difficult situation, whichever way you look at it.
"When you lose 3-1 it is hard to be satisfied by anything, but I do not think it is a problem of rapport with the players.
"Alternatives? I have not yet thought about that."
Moratti declared after Tuesday's game that he would consider Gasperini's future overnight, and the latest comments seemingly now seal the former Genoa Coach's fate.
Gasperini has overseen five games in total, that have yielded one draw and four defeats. Claudio Ranieri is the early favourite to come in, should Gasperini be relieved of his duties.
It is reported that Gasperini was absent from training this morning.
