Claudio Ranieri is facing an injury crisis ahead of Inter's trip to CSKA Moscow, as Wesley Sneijder is one of several midfielders ruled out.
The new Coach got off to a strong start with a 3-1 victory away to Bologna on Saturday.
Sneijder and Dejan Stankovic already missed out on that game and it does not look as if they will recover in time for Tuesday's Champions League test either.
Joel Obi picked up a muscular problem during the Bologna tie and is also a doubt for Moscow.
Ranieri confirmed Sneijder's injury “is worse than previously thought” and he'll require more tests to see if the thigh strain will keep him out of next week's Serie A clash with Napoli as well.
Sulley Muntari cannot play in the Champions League, as he was left off the UEFA list.
It suggests the only available midfielders are Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso and Ricky Alvarez, though Cristian Chivu can be pushed up to a more advanced position.
