Francesco Guidolin is content with the draw in Cagliari that keeps Udinese top of the table. “It's a good result.”
The Friulani were held to a goalless game at the Stadio Sant'Elia and remain joint Serie A leaders with Juventus.
“It's a good result, as this is a difficult arena and Cagliari are a well-organised team,” said Guidolin.
“Perhaps we felt the weight of so many games in the fixture list. I feared this match partly due to the climate, as we were coming from the cold to the heat of Sardinia.
“We've had a good start to the season, there's no point denying that, as last season at this stage we didn't have any points and now we're on eight.
“I realise people would like to hear something different from me, but Udinese have to focus on other objectives. We hope to become a strong side.”
Udinese now face a Europa League trip to Celtic and the Coach concedes there have to be changes.
“We'll be without Gabriel Torje too, as he is cup-tied, but squad rotation is necessary, otherwise we'll be picking these players up off the floor. But we'll do the best with what we've got and make sure we're hard to beat in Glasgow too.”
