Villarreal President Fernando Roig revealed ahead of his club's meeting with Napoli that the Italians wanted two of his players this summer.
The Azzurri were linked with Giuseppe Rossi [pictured] at one stage during the summer, and Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis did intimate they would love to bring him to the San Paolo in the future.
Roig revealed today, however, that Napoli actually came in for two 'unnamed' players this summer, and it is thought those were Rossi and Borja Valero.
Napoli welcome Villarreal to the San Paolo tonight to play their first home game of the 2011-12 Champions League campaign, whilst Roig admitted he has doubts about whether Rossi will be fit to face his potential suitors.
"I saw him, but don't know if he can play."
