Giuseppe Rossi admitted he was disappointed to be beaten by Napoli on Tuesday but suggested he is only focused on helping Villarreal.
The Italian striker started for the Spanish side despite doubts over his fitness, but in a quiet performance, saw his team fall to a 2-0 defeat at the Stadio San Paolo.
"I decided to play because this game was too important for us. Now I'm sorry to have lost 2-0 but it happens.
"I am consoled by the fact that in the second half we played a great game. Now we must continue to do positive things."
The No 22 then commented on speculation that he could have joined Napoli this summer, and might be open to in the future.
"Could I be on the other side? For now I think only about doing well with Villarreal."
