Andre Villas Boas has denied rumours that Inter and Napoli approached him this summer about becoming their Coach.
Napoli were reportedly at one point in the summer on the verge of parting company with Walter Mazzarri over his refusal to rule out taking over at Juventus. Meanwhile, Inter were forced into the coaching market as late as July when Leonardo departed to take a director of football role at Paris Saint-Germain.
Now at Chelsea, the young Coach was quick to deny he had held talks with either club about taking their respective benches, but did have some positive words for their respective Presidents.
"In the summer I was close to Napoli or Inter? Absolutely not, I have nothing to say. However, I do thank both Presidents [Massimo] Moratti and [Aurelio] De Laurentiis for the beautiful words spoken about me.
"They have talented Coaches, Mazzarri and [Claudio] Ranieri are some of the biggest Italian Coaches, and I'm sure they'll win with their teams."
