Giorgio Chiellini is again ready to be fielded as a left-back should Juventus boss Antonio Conte need him in that position.
The centre-back was used in his old role against Milan last night and impressed in the 2-0 victory.
"We spoke about it on Friday," the Italian international revealed. "Paolo De Ceglie wasn't in great shape and [centre-back] Leonardo Bonucci has been working hard in training.
"Moreover, our Coach wanted particular physical qualities on the pitch so we therefore tried this solution.
"It can be an extra weapon for the whole team.
"For example, in the last two games, we played with Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio, whilst in the two first matches we were differently placed on the field.
"Similarly, my displacement to the left can be another string to our tactician's bow."
Juve dominated the Rossoneri and Chiellini admits that he sensed that it would be a great night for the club even before kick-off.
"We always felt that the game was in our hands," he added. "We were reactive on every ball, ready to recover and restart.
"We felt that this evening could be special because the atmosphere in the stadium gave us the right spur and helped us to give our all on the pitch."
