Italian legend Dino Zoff insists that it is too soon to dismiss Milan and Inter as title contenders this season.
Both clubs have had a nightmare start to the campaign which has left the Rossoneri six points behind the leaders, with Inter seven shy.
"Inter and Milan will both start to climb back up even if they'll have problems," Zoff, the 1982 World Cup winning captain, told Radio CRC.
"It'll be tough, but you certainly can't rule them out of the Scudetto race at this point of the campaign."
While the San Siro giants have disappointed, Napoli and Juventus – Zoff's former clubs – have impressed.
"It's nice to think that Napoli and Juve can fight for the championship," continued the former Juve boss.
"I'm proud that Napoli are doing some excellent things, while Juventus this time seem to be going forward with a positive project."
Juventus, along with Udinese, lead the standings, while Napoli are just one point further back from the two Bianconeri outfits.
