Goran Pandev is eager to return from injury as soon as possible in order to demonstrate his value to Napoli.
The summer arrival from Inter is thought to be a week away from full fitness after recently damaging a thigh muscle.
"I'm feeling better and I'm working hard to get back to full fitness," he told Sky Italia. "I'm disappointed that, for various reasons, I haven't been able to show my worth.
"I just can't wait to play again though so that I can start paying back the club for their faith in me and the fans for their passion."
While the Macedonian has struggled to impress so far this term, his new side haven't as they sit just one point behind early League leaders Juventus and Udinese.
"I've found a very strong squad here," the former Lazio forward added. "There are some motivated boys and a Coach who gives us great stimulus on a daily basis.
"I'm hopeful that if we continue on this road then we can win something in the future. This team is strong, there are some important players and then there is Ezequiel Lavezzi…

Napoli entertain Parma this weekend before taking on Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.
