Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro is close to agreeing terms to extend his stay at the San Paolo, according to his agent Gaetano Fedele.
The veteran centre-back had been at odds with Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, who told him to go and join his brother Fabio in Dubai.
However, things have settled down and both parties are in talks.
Interviewed on Marte Sport Live, Fedele said: "Paolo's renewal is close. The last meeting with Napoli gave us lots of reasons to hope for the good.
"He is a good footballer who is doing well in his city. His objective is that of finishing his career at Napoli.
"He has the confidence of his Coach and the club."
