Anzhi categorically ruled out Samuel Eto'o returning to Inter on a short-term loan, but his agent insists: “Why not?”
It was reported this morning that the Cameroon international could play for the Nerazzurri in January and February 2012, when the Russian Premier League has its winter break.
“It's impossible to imagine such a scenario, not even in your worst nightmare,” responded Anzhi technical director German Chistiakov.
However, agent Claudio Vigorelli told Insomi.ru a very different story.
“A return to Inter? Why not, seeing as during that time the Russian League is suspended?”
This could be the push Inter needed to make a proposal to Anzhi, just months after selling the striker for €30m.
Serie A is not new to such short-term loans, as Milan took David Beckham from LA Galaxy during their break.
