Walter Samuel's thigh injury is not serious, but Wesley Sneijder, Julio Cesar and Cristian Chivu return for Lille-Inter.
The Nerazzurri have to recover from two consecutive Serie A defeats and dive back into the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Samuel limped off during the 2-1 loss to Catania last night and has now been diagnosed with an over-stretched thigh muscle, but not a strain.
He is left out of the trip to France as a precautionary measure, though his injury is not serious.
Chivu, Sneijder and goalkeeper Julio Cesar all return to the squad after missing Catania, although there are only three strikers available.
This is because Diego Forlan and Luc Castaignos are ineligible for the Champions League.
Philippe Coutinho, Andrea Ranocchia and Emiliano Viviano are still injured.
Inter squad: Julio Cesar, Castellazzi, Orlandoni; Lucio, Maicon, Caldirola, Chivu, Faraoni, Jonathan, Nagatomo; 4Zanetti, Stankovic, Thiago Motta, Sneijder, Alvarez, Cambiasso, Obi, Crisetig; Pazzini, Milito, Zarate
