Lazio's 2-1 win over city rivals Roma on Sunday was the highlight of Hernanes' career to date, the player has admitted.
The Brazilian cancelled out Pablo Daniel Osvaldo's early strike with a penalty in the second half, before Miroslav Klose won the derby in injury time.
Talking to Globo Esporte, the 2010 summer signing from Sao Paulo said: "To win the game was an incredible joy.
"I have to admit that it was the most beautiful match of my career to date," he underlined with satisfaction.
The Biancocelesti's late win also saw them climb into joint second in the standings – just a point behind co-leaders Juventus and Udinese.
"We are looking to remain as high as possible for as long as possible," the Brazilian playmaker continued.
Lazio finished fifth last term, losing Champions League football to Udinese on goal difference.
