Walter Mazzarri will rotate the Napoli squad and insists “Cagliari are stronger than us – the table says so.”
The Partenopei have found it difficult to juggle the Champions League with Serie A commitments and go into Sunday's game one point behind their opponents.
“I could change a few things in the line-up. This is a match that holds many hidden dangers,” said the Coach.
“From Marek Hamsik, Christian Maggio and Gokhan Inler at least one could certainly be rested. Salvatore Aronica is the substitute for Paolo Cannavaro.
“I'd like the results on the field to speak and this means Cagliari are stronger than us – the table says so.
“If we approach it this way, I am confident we'll put in a good performance, even if the result is determined by many factors.
“The same applies to Wednesday against Udinese, as they are also ahead of us in the standings. We are the minnows in these matches.”
Edinson Cavani could also be rested, especially as he hasn't score away from home all season.
“I am not worried,” insisted Mazzarri. “If the team regularly lost on its travels then that would be a concern, but Cavani plays well and helps the side, so we don't care who scores a goal.”
