Edy Reja again praised his players for their performance against Bologna, but still cautioned that the team need to eradicate errors from their play.
Despite seeing his side move up to second place in the table with their third consecutive League win, Reja opened his discourse with Lazio Style Radio by suggesting that there are distinctive aspects to the team's play that need to improve.
"We still have to grow from the defensive viewpoint. The chances Bologna had have been the result of our mistakes in the supportive process. I expect better."
However, Reja was more positive when talking of the travelling support his team received.
"I'm glad to have rediscovered their affection. I want to continue because I consider myself a worker of the field.
"I understand the fan who always wants to win, but in football it is not possible. The important thing is that people are closer to the players, as they need them.
"In this regard I thank the Lazio fans who came to Bologna yesterday - they were many and were felt."
The Coach also spoke positively of Cristian Ledesma, Federico Marchetti and, in particular, Senad Lulic's performances at the Renato Dall'Ara on Sunday night. Ledesma and Lulic were both played out of position in more advanced and wide-midfield roles.
"Lulic played out the role and did a great job. Ledesma played in a role not normally his and is difficult due to its characteristics, but he also did well.
"I am very happy for Marchetti's performance who with three decisive actions is regaining confidence. I hope [Cesare] Prandelli takes this into account.
"I'm sorry [Djibril] Cisse could not have scored but the assist for Lulic was as valuable."
Reja then looked ahead to the midweek meeting with former Roma player and Coach Vincenzo Montella and ran through the growing injury concerns he has at the Olimpico.
"[Stefano] Mauri and [Alvaro] Gonzalez are out. Matuzalem also gave an extraordinary performance yesterday but a muscular problem rules him out.
"[Cristian] Brocchi I think will have recovered but it is more difficult for Hernanes.
"Yesterday after the game he kept telling me he was fine, but really he was limping. He would always be there if he could, we'll see what the tests say."
