Fiorentina look destined to give Sinisa Mihajlovic the opportunity to save his job in the game against Genoa this weekend.
The tactician is under severe pressure at the Stadio Artemio Franchi after picking up just three points from the last 15 available.
A 2-1 loss at Juventus on Tuesday seems to have only made matters worse for the tactician, especially followng a dreadful opening 45 minutes at the Juventus Stadium.
"The first half was embarrasing," Fiorentina President Mario Cognigni told Radio Blu on Wednesday. "Now we just have to think about Genoa.
"The club have made some important investments to achieve certain objectives. At the moment there isn't a Mihajlovic problem."
Mihajlovic, a former player at Roma, Lazio, Sampdoria and Inter, replaced Cesare Prandelli on the Viola bench in 2010 following a stint at Catania.
He was approached by Inter in the summer, but decided to stay loyal to the Tuscan outfit despite his unpopular status amongst some of the home support.
