Claudio Ranieri again accused referees of targeting Inter after the fifth penalty awarded against them. “We're used to it by now.”
The Nerazzurri risked losing their 1-1 draw in Bergamo tonight, but Luca Castellazzi saved the last-minute German Denis spot-kick.
“Are we irritated by yet another penalty? We're used to it by now here at Inter,” Ranieri told Sky Sport Italia after the fifth kick awarded against them.
“We hope all this ends soon, especially as the referee didn't give the penalty tonight, but it was the assistant who flagged and took that responsibility.
“Looking at the replays, I think Cristian Chivu and Guido Marilungo were holding each other by the arm. Never mind, it's just the way it seems to be going for us this season.
“We came here to win, but were playing against an Atalanta side that is doing so well and at the moment everything seems to work for them.
“Inter did well in the first half and conceded with the only real shot on target. After the break we created a great deal and I am happy with the performance. They gave their all and that was what we needed.”
