Alessandro Matri says his Juventus side will be able to face Inter this weekend with "mental freedom" following their win over Fiorentina.
The two Italian giants meet on Saturday night with the Bianconeri leading the table thanks to 16 points – double the amount the Nerazzurri have achieved so far.
"The victory against the Viola was fundamental ahead of the Inter encounter," the striker, who netted the winner in the 2-1 on Tuesday, told Tuttosport.
"Had we drawn another game then we would have gone into the San Siro clash on the back of three non-positive results.
"However, we'll now face Inter with more mental freedom.
"The pressure will only be on their shoulders, whereas we will not be lacking any motivation to do well."
Juve had drawn four of their last five League games before beating their arch-rivals at the Juventus Stadium in midweek.
Matri is their top scorer in the League thanks to his four strikes in seven appearances this term.
