Milan chief Adriano Galliani has labelled Roma as candidates to win the Italian Championship this season.
Although the Giallorossi are only at the very start of a fresh era under new owners and management, Galliani respects them ahead of Saturday's clash in the capital.
"It'll be a very difficult game," the Vice-President noted. "It'll also be a match between two sides who have Scudetto aspirations."
Roma are eighth in the standings, while Milan are back in the title race after winning their last three encounters.
"We knew that if we could go on a run of victories then we could go from the bottom half of the table to the top positions.
"The championship race is now wide open again."
Milan are joint fourth with Napoli, only two points behind leaders Juventus.
