Tomorrow Milan will release a “clarifying statement” on Antonio Cassano's mystery illness, revealed Adriano Galliani. “We're moderately optimistic.”
The 29-year-old has been in the neurology department of a Milan hospital since he was taken ill when returning from Rome on Saturday evening.
Many reports have swirled around, including one that Cassano suffered a stroke, mainly due to the lack of official confirmation on the circumstances of this illness.
“The situation is evolving well and we are moderately optimistic,” Milan Vice-President Galliani told Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight's Champions League game with BATE Borisov.
“Tomorrow there will be a joint clarifying statement from Milan and the clinic. What I do really want to tell the fans and people who care for Cassano is that he is well and is improving.”
Cassano received many visitors over the last couple of days, including former Sampdoria teammate Giampaolo Pazzini.
“He was better than I expected,” replied the Inter striker when asked how FantAntonio was doing.
