Serie B side Ascoli have officially sacked Coach Fabrizio Castori and brought in Massimo Silva.
The club is at -1 in the standings due to a 10-point penalty for financial irregularities.
Castori managed to save Ascoli from relegation last season despite another penalty for similar issues, but will not get the chance this time around.
A statement confirmed that “with profound regret” they have opted to fire Castori and his staff.
Youth team manager Antonio Aloisi is in charge of training today, but Silva has been appointed and will be presented to the media tomorrow.
