Milan defender Thiago Silva has flown to Brazil for meniscus treatment and admits: “I don't know when I'll be playing again.”
Tests this week revealed the centre-back had suffered a torn meniscus ligament in his knee and it is not clear how many weeks he will need on the sidelines.
“I don't know when I'll be playing again. I'm flying to Rio to talk to the doctors and have more tests to see what the situation is,” he said.
“Unfortunately, until then I really cannot say what will happen.”
Thiago Silva is nonetheless confident his teammates can continue their current strong form.
“Nobody is stronger than us. We are all on the same level, but now that we have so many injuries it's difficult. I hope by January the Coach can have everyone at his disposal.”
