Carlo Ancelotti admits that he would prefer to take charge of an English club rather than move back to Italy.
The Italia ’90 player has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea at the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
He has been tentatively linked with jobs in Italy since then, such as Fiorentina, but he seems to have fallen in love with the Premier League.
“I would like to work in England,” he told Sky Sports News. “We’ll have to wait and see what happens though.
“I would like to stay here, but if that is not possible then I will find another solution outside of this country.
“For now I am using my time to improve my knowledge. I’m waiting.”
Ancelotti, 52, has also bossed Reggiana, Parma, Juventus and Milan in his career to date.
During his two-year stint at Stamford Bridge, he won the Premier League and the FA Cup – both collected at the end of his first campaign in London.
The former Milan and Roma midfielder has also been linked with a possible move to Paris Saint Germain in recent weeks.
