Edinson Cavani doesn’t mind a punishing schedule for Napoli and Uruguay. “We’ve got to continue with this intensity.”
The striker is set to star for his country in Tuesday’s friendly match against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We are doing well in Uruguay and the Copa America victory helped us to grow even more as a team,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“It isn’t a problem for me to play in a wider role rather than the centre-forward one I take for Napoli. The important thing is that the squad gets good results.
“As for Napoli, we are happy with what we are achieving both in Serie A and the Champions League.
“Europe is very important, but we cannot let our foot off the gas domestically either, as there is a long way to go and we’ve got to continue with this intensity.”
