Napoli striker Edinson Cavani feels that he and Mario Balotelli share similar characteristics on the field of play.
The two men will face off against each other tonight when the Manchester City forward will start in Italy’s international friendly against Uruguay.
“City boss Roberto Mancini asks of Balotelli what I am asked to do at Napoli,” the centre-forward told Sky Sport Italia.
“I am similar to Balotelli. We are modern strikers and I think Italian football is similar to English football.”
The Azzurri go into the game in great form after easily qualifying for Euro 2012 and picking up a 2-0 win in Poland on Friday.
“Italy have many great players in their team and I think Andrea Pirlo makes the difference for them,” the former Palermo man continued.
“Uruguay are different to Italy, but both teams have world-class players and I am sure it will be a great game.”
